This is a wonderful place to stay! The owners made us feel very welcome and we were sad to leave! Perfect location for ice climbing in Rjukan area. Would definitely stay here again if I am ever lucky enough to visit this wonderful country again. Norwegians are the friendliest people around. Thank you for the warm welcome.
Can recommend this hotel.

Excellent value for money, with a warm cabin and heated shower rooms. Enjoyed a fun evening during quiz night with fabulous singing from the camp proprietor. Helpful owner upgraded us to a spacious cabin with a kitchen for self-catering. Beautifully located by the Tinnsja lake, with plenty of activities for kids. Nearby Rjukan offers diverse attractions, like the Gausta summit and sun mirror. Friendly and helpful staff, reasonable prices, and breathtaking landscapes. Small cabin was warm, clean, and well-equipped with a kitchen for convenience. Free wi-fi, parking, bar/lounge, outdoor dining, welcome drink, snack bar. Picnic area, fitness center, sauna, flat-screen TV, electric kettle. Amenities like shared kitchen, mini golf, hiking, canoeing, fishing. Convenient private beach access and children's play area for added enjoyment. Board games available, pets allowed, and a smoke-free environment. Sandviken Camping provides a super stay with jaw-dropping surroundings.

We had a fantastic stay at this campground. The cottage we stayed in was very nice, with two bedrooms and a deck overlooking the beautiful lake. The staff was helpful and most spoke excellent English. The campground had plenty of activities to keep kids busy, and the location right next to the lake was fine. The cleanliness of the cottage was great, and the hotel facilities, including a kitchen for self-catering, were great.
Nothing negative to say.

We had an incredible stay at Sandviken Camping in Austbygdi. the landscape was truly breathtaking, and we couldn't believe how perfect everything was. Our cozy cabin was small but warm and clean, and the kitchen was a lifesaver with its dishwashing, coffee machine, and microwave. the staff were excellent and extremely helpful, and the cabins were kept spotlessly clean. the campground is also great for families with young children, thanks to the playground and trampoline. the surrounding nature is beautiful, and there is plenty to do nearby, including mountain tours, visiting a traditional Norwegian farm, and exploring Rjukan, which is just 30 km away and offers museums and other attractions. Plus, the beautiful lake added to the overall charm of the place. Cons: Cannot find any fault 😊.
